Spider = Socializing + Transition + Form
The crisis is today and today is the crisis. And I've had enough of it. Stop! It's time to reconsider dance, its forms. If we are missing anything, it’s its elasticity. A general rigidity leads to the formation of a wall that prevents us from seeing or hearing physis, a body. Feelings and perceptions are hidden behind a ton of information; the eye gets sick and indifferent.
Aggression attacks the truth. What now?
Spider offers plenty of forms for people to get together; it's intertwined with layers that primarily don't belong to the same context, but nonetheless it contains common denominators: a stage, a body, a performance. I believe that sharing a moment through the exchange of ideas and forms that intertwine is the true magic of communication. At the edge, among their dimensions, there is a dialogue that opens up and supports new forms. The edge is a moment of Transition. Time in which we dance is transitory.
Spider changes from one form to another; it is elastic. Spider takes place at the edge between the audience and the performers where the roles are sometimes reversed. Spider is a ritual of socialising and exchange. Spider creates a sensorial moment in the relation between moving bodies, on the one hand, and a look, on the other – a look that perceives dance as a simultaneous movement of intellect, intuition and liberated body.
Why not dance on the edge?
Why not teach the eye to perceive more than just one form at a time?
